Are you passionate about business, people and turning financial insight into action? We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Director, Business Controlling to lead our business controlling and finance partnering agenda and help drive Lumene Group’s next phase of international growth.
Location: Espoo, Finland or Stockholm.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will have overall ownership of management accounting, performance management, business planning and finance business partnering across Lumene Group. Your partnering responsibility covers both our Commercial and Supply Chain organizations, and you will work closely with senior leaders across the business to translate strategy into financial ambitions, provide forward-looking insight and drive profitable, sustainable growth.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in the business behind the numbers – our consumers, brands, markets, channels, products and operations – and who wants Finance to actively help lead the business.
As our new CFO joins Lumene Group in October, we are continuing to evolve the way our Finance organization supports our international growth ambitions. You will have a unique opportunity to join at an exciting stage, help shape future ways of working, develop our business partnering model and build an even stronger Business Controlling team.
In this role, you will
Own and develop management accounting, management reporting and performance management across Lumene Group.
Lead the Group’s long-term planning, budgeting and financial forecasting processes, connecting strategy, financial ambitions and operational plans.
Lead Finance business partnering across Commercial and Supply Chain, providing insight, constructive challenge and support to senior business leaders.
Drive a strong commercial and profitability perspective, helping the business understand and improve performance across brands, markets, customers, channels, products and operations.
Support strategic and operational decision-making through business cases, scenario analysis and evaluation of growth initiatives and investments.
Develop KPIs, analytics and reporting that improve transparency, predictability and forward-looking decision-making.
Lead and develop the Business Controlling team, with a strong focus on talent development, collaboration and building strong finance partnering capabilities.
Drive continuous improvement, simplification and automation of controlling, planning and analytics processes and tools.
Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership and contribute actively to the development of the broader Finance function.
What you bring to this role
Approximately 10+ years of experience in business controlling, commercial finance, FP&A, finance business partnering or other relevant finance leadership roles.
Strong commercial mindset and genuine curiosity about the business, with the ability to connect financial performance with its underlying business drivers.
Proven ability to partner with, influence and constructively challenge senior business leaders.
Strong understanding of management accounting, performance management, planning, forecasting and profitability analysis.
Proven leadership experience and a genuine passion for developing people and talent and building high-performing teams.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic, hands-on and solution-oriented approach.
Experience from a consumer-driven, FMCG, branded products, manufacturing or other commercially dynamic environment is considered an advantage.
Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills and experience working in an international environment.
Relevant university degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related field.
Fluency in English. Finnish or Swedish is considered an advantage.
